The saves folder seems to work fine as in the game I'm playing, I can load my game just fine, I just can't load the save state. However, if I go into a different game, I can save and load states just fine. When I load up the game I'm playing, I hit the load state button, and it doesn't load the state for the game that I'm playing. Unfortunately disabling it breaks savestate for games that use that save ram as extra game ram like at least one of the Kirby games on SNES and a Metroid + Saving hack for NES. I targeted the save folder in the Dropbox in Retroarch and the state folder in the Dropbox in Retroarch as well. Yes to all that AND be careful loading an old savestate as it WILL overwrite your in-game save unless you disable that functionally in Retroarch. On the portable PC, everything seems to work fine, I'm able to load the save state for the game that I'm playing and I can save states and it updates basically automatically the file in the Dropbox folder. I then paired Retroarch on both the portable PC and my desktop PC to those two folders. I set up a Dropbox Basic account cuz I have no need for more than 2 GB of storage with it, and then copied my save and states folders over to the Dropbox.
